All interested women are welcome to attend and hear about the opportunity to become a member of a local GFWC club. A brief overview given by local resident and GFWC Wisconsin President-Elect, Deb Brossard, regarding the benefits of the affiliation with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs’ district, state, and international organizations will be shared as well as next steps in forming a local GFWC chapter. She will be assisted by GFWC Rhinelander Woman’s Club member, Mary Meek, a recent graduate of the GFWC LEADS program. A core of potential local leaders have been identified and will be in attendance. They are excited to proceed and they are extending a welcome to other women who are looking for a way to make new friends while volunteering their time and talents where and when a need is identified. The club members themselves will choose projects that are relevant and that will make an impact in the Lakeland communities of Minocqua, Woodruff, and Arbor Vitae. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of this grassroots effort to form a service organization that will draw its strength from the rich history and unlimited resources of a parent organization that’s been doing this work for over 125 years, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs! RESERVATIONS ARE NOT NECESSARY.
