Times have changed and so has the perception that massage is a luxury, to now understanding it's a beneficial therapy for wellness. In this presentation, we will look at the different forms of massage and the benefits of these service. We will also see that massage is much more than a luxury, it is a valuable treatment for many conditions from increasing blood flow, supporting the body’s immune system and easing stress and muscle tension. About Nikki Kassien and her credentials: "In 1988, I was in a car accident in which I broke two vertebrae in my spine. After years of therapy the muscles in the spine would not completely relax. I turned to alternative therapies, one being reiki with massage. The therapy worked so well, that in 1992 I was trained in reiki. The training helped me find calm in my life when pain would rear its ugly head. I was fortunate enough to have the means to receive regular massage, and between the two therapies. I have lead a relatively pain free life. In 2012, with full support of my family I decided to further my education, and enrolled full-time in school to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy. I graduated in June 2014, with full honors, with my family by my side. While I excel in relaxation techniques, I also enjoy therapeutic massage techniques and helping you achieve wellness goals."
