Nicolet Area Technical College en Nicolet College Trustees Consider Possible Transitional Plan <p>The Nicolet College Board of Trustees has begun talking about the process they would take should they need to hire a new president.</p><p>Nicolet College President Libby Burmaster has been listed as a finalist for the president's position at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois. She had been a finalist for the presidency of Edgewood College in Madison. Walker Signs Youth Apprenticeship Bill In Rhinelander <p>Governor Scott Walker has signed a bill in Rhinelander that he says will help employers get more skilled workers to companies. Youth Apprenticeship integrates high school-based and work-based learning to instruct students in skills defined by Wisconsin industries. Walker Signs Youth Apprenticeship Bill In Rhinelander Nicolet Board To Consider Possible LRC Remodel Referendum <p>No decision was made, but a work team has recommended a possible referendum involving three projects deemed critical and five other projects at the Nicolet College LRC building.</p><p>The Board of Trustees assembled the team this summer after a proposal arose to use the maximum allowed borrowing authority without a referendum to remodel parts of the Learning Resources Center. The state requires technical schools to go to local referendum if a project tops $1.5 million.
