Critical Need For Blood As MASH Drive Nears

For one day early next month, Pioneer Park in Rhinelander will look like a M.A.S.H. unit. Like a real MASH unit, the intent is to save lives.

A blood collection on that theme will be held July 8 at Pioneer Park from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Brewster Leaves UW-Extension To Head Demmer Library

The leader of the Oneida County UW-Extension office is leaving that position to become the head of the E.U. Demmer Library in Three Lakes.

Erica Brewster informed county supervisors this week she is resigning to take the job in Three Lakes. Brewster is the Extension department head and also is the Family Living Agent.

No Disciplinary Action for OC Board Supervisor

No disciplinary action will result for Oneida county board supervisor Jack Sorenson, accused by two fellow supervisors of violating the code of conduct for supervisors.

Ted Cushing and Lance Krolczyk filed complaints. Two three-member committees met Thursday to decide if further action was needed.

Man Sought For Vehicle Thefts In Northwoods?

The Rhinelander Police Department is asking the public's help in locating a suspect in motor vehicle thefts in Chippewa county who is thought to be in the area.

Police Chief Michael Steffes says 38 year old Eric T. Hall is being sought as a person of interest by Chippewa county authorities. Eric Hall was released from prison 10 days ago.

More guilty pleas in federal court to Oxycodone distribution in Lac du Flambeau.

U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil announced pleas from  25 year old Charlie Sunn Meshigaud and 27 year old Andrew Meshigaud, a husband and spouse. They pled guilty in federal court in Madison to conspiring to possess Oxycodone with intent to distribute.
