Pete Rondello is a lifetime resident of Northern Wisconsin. His radio broadcasting career began in 1974 at WERL AM and FM, Eagle River, WI. Since that time, Pete has also served in various capacities at radio stations in Antigo, Rhinelander, and Minocqua. He has volunteered as a member of the WXPR Community Advisory Board, and has also been an on-air host. During the past 24 years, he has worked in real estate brokerage and management with Coldwell Banker Mulleady Inc.

Always partnering with community, civic group, church and school projects, Pete's involvement helped to build portions of the Heart of Vilas County bike trail in Boulder Junction, his current hometown. He is a co-founder of Habitat for Humanity Northwoods WI and Lakeland Rotary Breakfast Club.

Rondello is presently on the Board of Elders of the Community Church of Boulder Junction, the Boulder Junction Chamber of commerce board of directors, and participates in the UpShift bike trail improvement group.

Pete Rondello is married to Beth Rondello, who serves Camp Manito-wish YMCA as it's Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement. They have 4 children.

A meeting last week in Rhinelander has put energy into a movement to revive the cancelled School of the Arts at Rhinelander.

The announcement came late last year of UW-Madison's withdrawl from the program that began in Rhinelander in 1964.

June and July are typically the months where Wisconsin sees the most severe weather events. Emergency managers are encouraging Northwoods residents and visitors are encouraged to obtain a NOAA all-hazards weather radio.  The devices can provide 24/7 information from the weather service and county emergency government. Oneida County Emergency Management’s Dawn Robinson explains.
