Sally H. Mode - Senior Trustee for the Arthur L. & Elaine V. Johnson Foundation since 1997. In my role as senior trustee I divide my time between managing the investments of the foundation and the awarding of grants to non-profit organizations.
I am member of the organizations devoted to philanthropy and attend workshops and conferences that focus on best practices and legal obligations of small foundations. As part of my work I am familiar with 501(c)(3)’s and the details required to operate effectively.
I am currently serve on the Board of WXPR, Community Public Radio having served as Nominating Chair, Chair of Development, Chair of Governance, Secretary, Chair of the Executive Search Committee, Personnel Committee, and co-chair of two capital campaigns. I also serve on the Nicolet College Foundations Board of Directors as Vice-Chair and on the Asset Management Committee. I have also served on the Board of the Lakeland Ski Touring Foundation.
Born in Michigan, a graduate of Rockford University in Illinois, I moved to northern Wisconsin in 1996 and have a great appreciation for our community and the natural beauty of our landscape, I enjoy many outdoor activities. My husband owns and operates a sporting goods store in downtown Rhinelander
