Downtown Rhinelander, Inc.'s annual Taste of Chocolate event is from 5:00-8:00 p.m. this evening.(2/9/2018)
Anyone purchasing $5 tickets can sample chocolates in downtown stores.
Rhonda Jicinsky says this is the event's 11th year. She says businesses have offered things like chocolate covered potato chips, to chocolate fudge to chocolate martinis. She says 36 businesses are participating. Tickets are available at Trig's Service desk, CT's Deli, Bucketheads.
Jacinsky says one lucky participant will be rewarded...
"..PRINTPAK, the local company here in Rhinelander, sponsors a $1,000 golden ticket. You buy a $5.00 ticket, you put your name and phone number on the bottom, it goes into our drawing, and the winner gets $1,000 in downtown bucks. Those can be spent at any downtown business..."
