Make plans to attend the Wabeno Art and Music fest this Saturday for a day of art, music, and fun for the whole family.

The event runs from 10am to 10pm in downtown Wabeno and features live music on three stages, a fine art auction, art activities for kids and more. Friends of Wabeno Chairperson, Mary Beck says there will be multiple stages of music, including a stage for emerging artists.

“We have performers on three stages or venues, there are 16 professional musicians. We have a small pavilion for emerging artists, people who are just starting to get in the business..”

Beck says the festival offers a wide variety of music genres including blues, folk, country, classic rock and more.

Performers at the festival include folk artist, Skip Jones, acoustic rock artist, Jeff Brown, and classic rock artist, Rick Stream among many others.

A Plein Air art competition will also take place from 8am to 2pm. Artists will choose an outdoor location within one mile of the Wabeno Band Shell  where they will paint. The art will then be judged by other professional artists and the top three artists will receive a prize.
