Like most airports in the nation, the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport is also seeing one of the busiest travel days of the year.

Airport Director Joe Brauer says while they only have two flights daily, they were full...

"....Wednesday before Thanksgiving is usually the busiest holiday, in fact, we are. All of our flights are full both going out and coming in. It's busy this time of the year. We'll go through a lull, then it will get very busy before the Christmas holiday...."

Brauer also has some advice for anyone flying this weekend or anytime...

"....what they're recommending in the larger airports is you show up two hours prior to your flight. We're telling our customers out of Rhinelander 75 minutes. If you're going to a larger airport, larger city, they want you to check in at least two hours in advance...."

According to the Airlines for America trade group, a record 27 million passengers were expected to fly on U.S.-based airlines globally between November 18 and November 29.
