Albers Captured in New Mexico

Lincoln Co. Sheriff

The man wanted by Lincoln County authorities after he failed to return to jail under Huber Law  has been captured far from Wisconsin.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says 32 year old Jason Albers was apprehended by New Mexico State Police Wednesday. Authorities there say they attempted to make a traffic stop and Albers allegedly tried to flee but was later arrested. Albers will be extradicted to Wisconsin to face a charge of allegedly fleeing custody. He likely will also face charges in New Mexico.

Albers allegedly did not return December 8 to the Lincoln County Jail after he was released to check on jobs and see his probation agent.
