Arbor Vitae Woman Sentenced For Embezzlement

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

A 48 year old Arbor Vitae woman has been jailed for admitting to embezzling $10,000 from a local animal hospital.

Oneida County Judge Patrick O'Melia sentenced Brenda J. Wigglesworth to 9 months in the county jail and five years probation. She was given Huber work release privileges.

Wigglesworth was working for Northwoods Animal Hospital in Minocqua when they hired an independent accounting of their books in 2013. They discovered some irregularities which a Sheriff's Department investigation confirmed.

Judge O'Melia also ordered $15,000 in restitution which was deposited in a secure account by Wigglesworth's attorney Lindsay Erickson.
