en.wikipedia.org

Seven area emergency responder teams have picked up money from Wisconsin Public Service Foundation to help supply their needs.

The Foundation's  grants enabled qualifying responders up to $2,000 says WPS spokesperson Leah Van Zile...

"....this is the second year the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation has awarded 50 thousand dollars to area responders as part of our "Safety--It's Worth The Energy" grant opportunity..."

More than 75 agencies applied and 29 were accepted for funding, including the towns of Little Rice, Newbold, Woodruff and Sugar Camp departments in Oneida county, the town of Lac du Flambeau and Plum Lake departments in Vilas county and the town of Antigo in Langlade county. The grants are used to purchase equipment,  and provide professional development.
