Dr. German Larrain is medical director of Aspirus Heart & Vascular. He says Truven looks at specific areas of performance...

"....they look at four different dimensions for different processes, one of them being coronary arterty bypass surgery, open heart surgery. Angioplasty and stenting. They look at heart attacks and heart failure..."

Larrain  says Truven looks at coronary bypass surgery, open heart surgery, angioplasty and stenting. They look at heart attacks and heart failure among other criteria...

".....whether we give the patients the right medications and we do the right procedures. They looked at outcomes so how do the patients do down the road if they stay free of disease and alive...."

This is the ninth time Aspirus has been listen among the to 50 cardiovascular hospitals in the nation. Larrain says they are the only hospital in the state to have been named that many times.
