Last month, Marshfield Clinic informed Ministry Health Care it would no longer be providing medical oncology services at the James Beck Cancer Center. With the change, Ministry officials say they've moved fill the void and keep services patients have come to expect.

Dr. Douglas Reding  will lead the new team at the Rhinelander facility. He's vice-president for the Ascension-Ministry Oncology Service Line across Ministry Health Care. He has 29 years of oncology experience including here in Rhinelander...

".....I used to provide oncology services at the James Beck Cancer Center 18 months ago. It will be a little like coming home for me. We're in the process of establishing other providers who will serve as the medical oncologist at the James Beck Cancer Center..."

Reding says the contract with Marshfield Clinic expires in one month, but they say both radiation and medical oncology services will continue. He says they will continue seeing current patients and doing consulations with newly diagnosed patients.
