Officials are reminding the public to take it easy and find ways to get cool during our mid-summer hot spell.

Tuesday we talked about ways to stay cool and that information is on the WXPR website.

Wednesday, Oneida County Emergency Management spokesperson Dawn Robinson says people without air conditioning can go to places in the Minoqua, Rhinelander and Eagle River areas that are air conditioned and usually open...

"....Oneida and Vilas counties have cooling facilities that are established that are open to the public. Citizens who need a reprieve and cool down can go to these facilities and get in some air conditioning...."

In the Rhinelander and Minocqua areas, it's Trig's and WalMart centers. In Woodruff, Howard Young Medical Center is also designated as a cooling site. In Eagle River, Trig's and Eagle River Memorial Hospital. Robinson says those facilities are open 24 hours a day.

The unusually warm and humid conditions are expected to last into the weekend.
