flickr.com

The Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 36th Annual Cranberry Fest this weekend. The event will feature anything and everything cranberry such as cranberry juice, beer, meatballs, breads and the world’s largest cranberry cheesecake. Events Coordinator Patti Gill says it’s an event for everyone.

“…we’re really excited to highlight the state fruit, the cranberry and we have an annual festival which has craft fairs, tours to the cranberry marshes and the winery, and there’s food and people all over the place. It’s a wonderful event.”

Gill says a Berry Bog 5k jog will be Saturday, October 3 at 8:30am at Riverview Park.

Cranberry Fest will be at the Vilas County Fair Grounds. Grounds open at 9am both days. For more information visit the Eagle River’s Chamber of Commerce website and eagleriver.org
