One person died in an early Sunday morning traffic crash in Iron county.
The Wisconsin State Patrol reports the crash on U.S. 51 at county highway "CC" near Hurley shortly before 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
A Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 51 near county Highway CC, when it crossed the centerline and was struck by a Pontiac Vibe.
The 45 year old female operator of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The 32 year old male driver of the Pontiac was transported to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Names of the drivers have not been released.
Several agencies assisted in the crash investigation.
