WXPR has a new addition to the staff. Station Manager Pete Rondello announced well-known Northwoods resident Dave Havel of Rhinelander has been hired as Director of Development.
Rondello says Havel has a long history in the community, working with non-profits to raise funds in many capacities. Rondello says Havel has many success stories including his work with Rhinelander Kiwanis, Oneida County Animal Shelter, YMCA of the Northwoods and several others.
Rondello says while talking with people in the community, they said Dave was "Mr. Hodag" for his work in the community.
Havel will be reaching out to get community funding support for WXPR across the Northwoods. He says he's delighted to join WXPR...
"....I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining WXPR. WXPR of course is just such a wonderful community asset and to be joining the team and with an opportunity to be working with everybody and helping support WXPR is a wonderful opportunity for me. That's how I see it..."
Have will begin work at WXPR in mid-April.
