Democrat Polashek Seeks 12th State Senate Seat

A Democrat has thrown his hat in the ring for the 12th State Senate seat.

Former Oconto Falls Superintendent Dave Polashek stopped in Rhinelander to make the announcement...

"....I've been very disappointed in the turn in the legislature in the last four years. You can do it from the outside, but it really wasn't working and it's time to get on the inside. I have a passion for public education, I have a passion for the environment..."

Polashek says he would like to invest more in infrastructure to create jobs, protect natural resources, support students and reverse what he calls Madison's assault on local control. He was Oconto Falls schools superintendent for 22 years, and an administrator for 37.

Polashek is married and has four adult children and four grandchildren. He's an avid hunter. The large state Senate district includes all or part of 11 counties. Republican Tom Tiffany currently has that seat.
