Elcho Residents to be Surveyed on Their Views for School Projects

commons.wikimedia.org

A sampling of residents in the Elcho School District will be surveyed over the next month seeking feedback for the school district’s future upgrades. The survey comes on the heels of an assessment completed by the Community Facilities Task Force. District Administrator Bill Fisher says he wants the community to be part of the project.

“…it will last about 30 days and we hope to contact about 200 community members and it’s going to be a random survey to get their opinions of what some of our options are moving forward.”

Fisher says the district is working towards a fall 2016 referendum to upgrade facilities. He says the 77 year old elementary building and the 50 year old boilers are projects to be considered in the near future. Other concepts under consideration include remodeling the existing buildings and all new construction.

The phone survey will be conducted through December.
