ER City Council Approves Kwik Trip Zoning Request

en.wikipedia.org

The Eagle River city council approved the necessary zoning changes and conditional use permits clearing the way for Kwik Trip to develop their store by extending Wall Street further west to South Willow, locating the facility north of River Valley State Bank and south of West Division Street.

The $2.4 million facility included eliminating an entrance/exit on Division, relocating it to South Willow at the suggestion of Division Street homeowners with an earth berm and plantings to shield the station from those residences.

With plans to be open 24 hours, a condition attached to the proposal included no outside music. While opposition was expressed by D&S Mobile gas station and a county board supervisor predicting Kwik Trip would suck the life out of downtown Eagle River, the company representative indicated they have a reputation of being a good neighbor.

Construction is expected to start next spring after all permits and approvals are obtained.
