Fatal Snowmobile Crash In Newbold Sunday

One person has died in a town of Newbold snowmobile crash.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department reports they were called shortly before 11 a.m. by Vilas County after a report of a snowmobile crash near the Rustic Manor in St. Germain, on the Oneida-Vilas border.

When emergency help arrived, they found a snowmobile had hit a utility pole. A 62 year old Kenosha man was driving the snowmobile. The driver, Jeffrey E. Schultz of Kenosha was pronounced dead at the scene. A 43 year old male passenger from St. Germain received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.

Eight  different law enforcement and emergency responder agencies were on the scene and the investigation into the crash is continuing
