en.wikipedia.org

No one welcomes thinking about their own death, but seminars coming up in Woodruff and Rhinelander this month might give those handling your affairs an easier time of it. Adults of any age are invited to the free "Final Affairs" seminars.

Oneida County Department on Aging Director Dianne Jacobson outlines the event..

".....it's a four-hour seminar, one being held in Woodruff and one in Rhinelander. We've gotten together a group of professionals and attorneys, funeral director, financial planner and the like. They each are going to be speaking on a different component related to planning your final affairs...."

Jacobson says the seminars are helpful for everyone...

"it's a topic most of us don't like thinking about but having your affairs in order not only gives you peace of mind but it's a great gift to your family. So you know and they know your plans are set because it is inevitable..."

The seminar in Woodruff is Wednesday, September 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at Holy Family Catholic Church on county "J". The seminar in Rhinelander is Wednesday, September 28 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Oneida County Department on Aging in the Riverwalk Centre near Trig's.

The seminars are sponsored by the Department on Aging, Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Northwoods ande Ministry Health Care-Ascension.

Jacobson says seating is limited so early reservations are welcomed. She says call the Department on Aging if you have questions.
