A former supervisor in the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest has been named leader for North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department.
Melissa Baker currently leads the work of regional park managers within the 55-unit Montana State Parks System. Baker previously worked for the Wisconsin DNR as regional team supervisor of operations and visitor services at the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest. She also was a professor of forest recreation at UW-Stevens Point and taught parks recreation and tourism at the University of Maine.
Baker begins at North Dakota Parks and Recreation leader on April 24.
