The annual membership meeting of Grow North Regional Economic Development Corporation finds the Northwoods group working to create more jobs in different areas.
The eight-county group is one of nine regional economic development charters. They are funded in part through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

She says they will continue to grow the Fab Labs in the schools, like the one that started in Three Lakes this past year. Fab Lab is a new technology allowing for computer-based manufacturing of a new type.
The Hardwood Products Strategy grant will enable a primary and secondary directory for the industry and to address timber harvest issues.
Schreiber says Grow North will also be involved in keeping rail service in the north and also expanding high-speed internet access.
