The person who watches the state's revenue is coming to the Northwoods this week.
The Executive Director of the regional economic development corporation...Sarah Kapellusch says the group's quarterly meeting this Friday in Tomahawk will welcome a member of Governor Walker's cabinet...
"...we have invited Richard Chandler, Secretary of the Department of Revenue to come up and talk about how the state budget is impacting businesses up here. That includes manufacturing and tax credits...."
Kappellusch says Chandler will likely talk about how Wisconsin businesses can expand on the tax credits offered in the current state budget.
Grow North group is part of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and serves Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Florence, Langlade, Lincoln and Marinette counties. They partner with all types of area businesses, with initiatives for forestry, broadband and other efforts.
The meeting is from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Treehaven near Tomahawk. More information is on the Grow North website.
