A high cash bond was set for a Rhinelander man charged with the 2003 death of a man whose body was found floating in the Wisconsin River.
Oneida County Circuit Judge Michael Bloom set a cash bond of $100,000 for 40 year old Shannon J. Wolf.
Last month, Wolf's ex-wife Latoya Wolf of Tomahawk was charged with party to the crime of first-degree homicide in the 2003 death of her uncle, Kenneth Wells. Latoya Wolf told Rhinelander Police she was with her husband and two other men when they allegedly suffocated Wells and dumped his body in the Wisconsin River by the Davenport Street bridge in Rhinelander. The initial cause of death was originally set as drowning, but the case was reopened this year.
In 2013, Shannon Wolf was sentenced to 12 years in prison after he attacked Latoya Wolf in a car on Sutliff Avenue. Shannon Wolf's next court appearance is March 6.
