A sinkhole that halted traffic in Vilas county has been repaired.
Traffic has been rerouted on state Highway 17 near the intersection of Grosser Lane in Phelps.
The Vilas County Highway Department and Wisconsin DOT have completed repairs. A detour had been set up along county "A" and Highway 55. Monday it was found culverts had rusted through causing the ground to collapse and wash away the road surface.
