Democrat Joel Lewis of Wausau announced his candidacy for the 7th Congressional District Thursday evening at the Oneida County Courthouse. Lewis is a member of the Marathon County Board and Bridge Community Board, and says if he’s elected he will focus on student loan relief, green jobs and living wage jobs. Lewis says he will also work to expand broadband to rural areas and preserve social security.
Congressman Sean Duffy currently holds the seat for District 7. Other candidates running include Phil Salamone and Ethel Quisler.
