Jones Remains Jailed On $100,000 Cash Bond

Forest Co. Sheriff's Department

One of six people charged with the attempted homicide of a man will continue with a high bond.

March 13, bond for 45 year old Raymond Jones was set at $100,000 in Forest county court. He appeared via video from jail Wednesday, charged with attempted first-degree homicide, four other felonies and three misdemeanors.

Jones, his wife April, their adult son and his fiancee and two juveniles allegedly kept the 40 year old man in Jones' Wabeno home and beat him for two days before leaving him in threatening cold conditions outside to be eaten by wolves. The man was discovered outside of Crandon by two ATV riders.

Jones' attorney asked for a high signature bond, but was denied. He will be back in court along with other defendants on April 9.
