Judge Determines What Evidence Can Be In Wolf Trial

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

The man accused of the 2003 death of Kenneth Wells in Rhinelander was in Oneida County Court Tuesday as attorneys argued what evidence can be presented at a jury trial coming up next month.

41 year old Shannon Wolf is charged with first degree homicide. Wells body was found in the Wisconsin River and cause of death initially was listed as undetermined. It stayed that way until Wolf's ex-wife LaToya told Rhinelander Police about Shannon Wolf's alleged involvement in the murder.

Last month LaToya Wolf was sentenced to 11 years in prison for her alleged role in the murder on condition she testify against her ex-husband.

In 2013, Shannon Wolf was sentenced to 12 years in prison for allegedly trying to stab LaToya Wolf the prior year. A 12 person jury trial is set to begin January 11 in Oneida County Court.
