Lawmakers Listening to You
State Senator Tom Tiffany of Hazelhurst and three Northwoods members of the Assembly are hosting listening sessions October 28 through the 30th.
Tiffany will be joining Rob Swearingen, Jeff Mursau and Mary Czaja.
Tiffany says the 12th Senate District is among the largest geographically in the state with a diverse set of issues.
"A very diverse district. We're going to start our listening sessions over at Oconto Falls, in the far southeastern corner of my district and then three days later end up in Manitowish Waters....it's a broad swath of northern Wisconsin..."
Represenative Jeff Mursau will have one session at the Wabeno town hall on October 28 from 3:30-4:00 p.m. He says the public is invited to talk on any topic, but often local issues dominate...
"It's a lot of local things and things aren't getting done as quickly as they would like to see them done and they're having a problem with it, so, they're interesting and we can get something done when people bring up those ideas and questions and we can work on them..."
The listening sessions with Tiffany and Swearingen are October 29 at Eagle River city hall at 9:30 a.m., Land O' Lakes town hall at 11:45 a.m. and the Manitowish Waters town hall at 3:00 p.m.
Czaja will have three sessions on October 30th.
