Lego Avoids Prison Time For Traffic Death

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

A Rhinelander area man has avoided prison time after sentencing in Oneida County Circuit Court on Friday.

21 year old Randal Lego was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle last year. Lego was driving a car last November in Pine Lake when the vehicle crashed, and a 23 year old passenger died from injuries he suffered.

After tests, Lego was arrested and was charged with the death of Jacob Juedes of Rhinelander.

In court Friday, Judge Patrick O'Melia withheld sentence, placing Lego on probation. He was sentenced to 9 months in the county jail, fined $2,500 and ordered to continue mental health counseling and 200 hours of community service.

A review hearing was scheduled for September 19.
