LWV To Host Lincoln Co. Board Candidate Forum

www.123rf.com

The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods is inviting citizens to a forum involving the 22 candidates for the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors. League spokesperson Jane Trotter says the event is designed for the public to meet and ask questions of the candidates...

"....its non-partisan as county board seats are non-partisan. There are 22 seats open. It's an opportunity for them to meet their constituents..."

Trotter says the audience will submit questions and there also will be questions on specific issues...

"...we will also be asking the candidates to discuss questions specifically on hot topics right now in Lincoln county including broadband, shoreland zoning, North Central Health Care Consortium and recreational trails..."

Trotter says so far, just 9 of the 22 candidates have agreed to attend the forum. The forum is set for February 3 at the Buedingen Training Center on State Highway 86 in Tomahawk.

WJFW-TV Executive Producer Ben Meyer will moderate the event. More information on the event is on the League of Women Voters of the Northwoodswebsite.
