Martinson Enters Not Guilty Plea To Homicide, False Imprisonment

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

A Rhinelander teenager has entered a plea to two first-degree homicide charges and three charges of false imprisonment.

17 year old Ashlee Martinson is charged with the March 7 death of her parents in their home east of Rhinelander.  Young children were also allegedly trapped in a room in the house but were later freed.

Martinson was arrested in Indiana shortly after the bodies of her parents were found.

Monday in Oneida County Circuit Court, Martinson pled not guilty to the charges by reason of mental disease or defect.

Judge Michael Bloom ordered a court appointed psychologist to evaluate Martinson.

Her next court appearance will be in late September.
