A pregnant Milwaukee woman whose body was found in South Dakota in May had ties to the Northwoods.
Funeral services were held last week for 25 year old Tess Morgan White. Her burned body was found in Grant County , South Dakota on May 17.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports West Allis residents 34 year old Tiffany Simmons, and and 44 year old Shanta Pearson were arrested in Colorado. The criminal complaint says Morgan White was allegedly killed by the couple in early May. They allegedly attempted to burn the body in Minnesota and were unsuccessful, then dumped the body in South Dakota and fled. Relatives said Morgan White was 10 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.
Her obituary at an Ashland funeral home said Tess Morgan White was born in Milwaukee but was raised and attended schools in Forest county.
Funeral services were last weekend at the Bad River Community Center in Odanah. The West Allis couple arrested for Morgan White's death have admitted to being involved in the death, according to the criminal complaint.
