The name of a person killed Monday in a Price county traffic crash has been released.
The driver of a sport utility vehicle died at the scene when struck head on by a vehicle. The other vehicle was fleeing a Price County Sheriff's deputy.
Julie Petty of Catawba was the driver of the SUV. A deputy had stopped a pickup truck for speeding. When the deputy was pulling behind the pickup truck, the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The pickup truck unexpectedly swerved into Petty's path.
The crash happened on Highway 13 at Dama Road near Phillips. The name of the other driver has not been released
