The National Alliance For Mental Illness Family to Family Program returns November 3 to the Northwoods designed for family members of people dealing with mental illness.

NAMI Northern Lakes spokesperson Mick Fiocchi outlines the program....

"....things like panic disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive borderline personality disorder, PTSD, the class is taught by family members for family members...."

The course is taught by trained NAMI family member volunteers who have a loved one struggling with one of these brain disorders. Fiocchi says the class is free...

"....NAMI operates in a way that anyone can do so without any cost. NAMI Wisconsin absorbs the cost of training..the teachers absorb cost of refreshments and the local NAMI chapter covers other costs..."

There are 12 sessions planned. The sessions are at the downstairs Conference Room, Ministry St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. The class run Monday and Thursday evenings, 6:30 – 9:30pm.

Contact Mick Fiocchi at 715-362-6823 for more information.
