A program designed to help build the next generation of leaders is seeking 20 people to join.
Leadership Oneida County is accepting applications for the next  session.

One of ths sponsoring agencies is the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce. Director Dana DeMet describes the program....

".....Leadership Oneida County is a nine-month program that cultivates and prepares  upcoming leaders in our area even more involved citizens in our local communities....."

Participants attend an opening overnight session at Treehaven near Tomahawk, then each month review what Oneida county offers in terms of business, education, the medical community, media, industry, law enforcement and community services. The participants craft a project that helps one of Oneida county's agencies.

The first session is September 24 and meets once a month. DeMet says businesses often sponsor their workers in the program. Two scholarships are offered.
