New Fundraising Effort For Hodag Schools Foundation

Hodag Schools Foundation

A foundation established to do capital upgrades within the Rhinelander school district is beginning a drive to continue work at Mike Webster stadium.

Sue Makris is the vice-president of the Hodag Schools Foundation. The foundation pays for projects in the district. . When the first round of fundraising began, the public responded by buying pavers at the stadium. Makris says they're looking for the next generation of donors...

"...some people choose to remember their high school days, other people are memorializing a loved one. It becomes kind of a special place for many families, and other people are just having fun..."

Makris says with projects planned and underway at the athletic field it was a good time to launch another fundraising drive to help out. While work has been done on sports facilities, they have also funded the widely-known digital meida lab at Rhinelander High School.

The deadline to apply for a paver is July 1st. Makris says all graduates and families from Rhinelander schools are invited to join in. More information is athodagschoolsfnd.org, local media, Rhinelander high school activities office and at various businesses.
