A new Vilas County clerk of circuit court was sworn in Fridayby Judge Neal "Chip" Nielsen to replace retiring clerk Jean Numrich.
Courtney Szuta received the oath administered by Judge Nielsen who indicated there were 35 applicants for the position and after interviews, selected the one best for the job.
Szuta has 14 years experience as a Vilas County employee with 11 years experience in the Clerk of Courts office.
She indicated one of the major changes coming to the court process is mandatory e-filing and she hope to make it as easy as possible for all.
