Travelers and others using mobile media devices will note a new Vilas County tourism website that has been redesigned with a number of new features.
Vilas County Director of Tourism and Publicity Cindy Burzinski says to stay in front of changing traveler needs, they wanted a new tourism website...
".....we found out that in the past year, over 50 percent of users to our site were using mobile devices. In order to make visitors at the website an impressive experience, we upgraded it to mobile-friendly and make it more eye catching...."
She says potential visitors will have a wide array of options on the new www.vilas.org website...
"....all the videos and photos on the website are from Vilas county. We've also added about 20 different itineraries so people who want to come here during a specific season have the opportunity to go to an itinerary, find out what they may be able to do, so they can plan that perfect vacation....."
Helpful features on the redesigned site include seasonal itineraries, the latest Vilas County events, in-depth information on the county’s recreational trails and much more. Visitors will find nearly 20 all-new seasonal itineraries geared to a number of recreational interests, including fishing, snowmobiling, biking and hiking. The itineraries include information on specific lakes and trails to explore in Vilas County.
Burzinski says the specific information included in the itineraries should also help people find Vilas County via regular web searches.
