Later this month, the public along with students and staff at Nicolet College will get a chance to talk with finalists for the President's job.
Board of Trustees chair Ron Zimmerman also chairs the presidential search team. He says they recently reduced the candidate list from 21 down to five. The finalists will be on campus February 17 and 18. The candidates will first meet with the board...
".....and that will take place on the 17th of February. It will probably be a full day of interviewing. And then on the 18th, the candidates will make a presentation to the staff and public. It will be an open meeting....."
He says out of those sessions they hope to have an offer to a candidate shortly after that...
".....we'll go through the background checks and reference checking and all that sort of stuff and hopefully be able to make an offer to a candidate sometime in March...."
Former president Libby Burmaster left Nicolet last summer for a position in Maryland. Kenneth Urban has been interim president at Nicolet College.
