Alex Young-You Tube

Rhinelander City Administrator Blaine Oborn  confirmed Tuesday he will be leaving that post this summer to take the City Administrator job in Lake Geneva.

Oborn was named Rhinelander's City Administrator almost four years ago, after the departure of Bill Bell.

Oborn has been in his post during a time that has seen much change in the city. He says getting the city's fiscal situation in order was a priority...

"....came in here with some challenges, financially. My first year here there was deficit spending going on and a huge gap in the budget. With the council's help, we used a variety of mechanisms to balance the budget...."

He says a highlight was attracting Print Pak to build a large new manufacturing facility here.

He says he's worked to minimize the losses on the Northwood Golf Course.

From documents gathered from Lake Geneva, Oborn will be paid $103,000 a year.

Oborn  will likely begin his new position in July.
