One Dead In Wednesday Morning Crash In Minocqua

MINOCQUA -- A single vehicle crash early this morning on U.S. Highway 51 just south of Minocqua has claimed the life of a Minocqua man, according to the Minocqua Police Department.

Police received a call at 4:51 a.m. of the accident, which occurred in front of Sleep Central. Thirty-four-year-old Aaron P. Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was the vehicle’s only occupant.

Police Chief David Jaeger said Coleman lost control of the southbound car, which then went into the ditch on the west side. The vehicle rolled numerous times and struck a vehicle parked on Sleep Central’s property. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

This incident is still under investigation and specific details of the crash are not being released at this time.

The Minocqua Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the following agencies: Minocqua Fire and Rescue, Howard Young Medical Center (HYMC) Med 5 Paramedics and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office.
