Langlade and Lincoln counties have just concluded highly successful fairs, and Oneida county begins its four-day event Aug. 1.
This year's fair is again at Pioneer Park in Rhinelander and features the things you expect....food, entertainment, animals, vendors, and carnival rides.
One main exhibit belongs to the 4-H. Youth Development agent Lynn Feldman says they have an exhibit court area where the large 4-H tent is located ....
"...they're going to find projects such as photography, cultural arts, to vet science, woodworking projects, foods,....and at the far end of the tent they will see some senior exhibits as well...."
At the other end of the grounds is "Animal Alley" where youth animal exhibits are housed.
The fair begins Thursday night at 5 p.m. and runs through Sunday evening. A complete list of activities and the list of entertainers set for this year is on the Oneida County Fair website.
The Vilas County Fair begins August 8, while the Forest County Fair is set for September 6.
