Open Mic To Feature Northwoods Stories, Songs

The Oneida County Land and Water Conservation Department, Lumberjack RC&D and UW-Extension are inviting people with a need to talk about the Northwoods to an open microphone this Thursday evening in Three Lakes.

County Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator Michele Sadauskas says the new event is called "Northwoods Expressions."

"This is an event for anybody in the Northwoods from children to visitors to come and share a poem, story or a song. We're going to have a little campfire. We're hoping to have people express to us what is important or what their passion is about the Northwoods."

Northwoods Expressions is Thursday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cy Williams Park in Three Lakes. In case of rain, the event will be at the Three Lakes Community Building. More information is at the Oneida County UW-Extension website.
