Peregrine Falcon Chicks Live On The Internet

Wisconsin Public Service

The nesting boxes for Peregrine falcons are full at two Wisconsin Public Service power plants.

WPS spokesperson  Matt Cullun reports the last of three Peregrine falcon eggs has hatched...

"....in total we now have eight chicks that have hatched inside our nesting boxes. We're pleased to offer our customers plus people around the world a glimpse of those nesting boxes. They can go to wisconsinpublicservice.com/falcons and they can click on a live stream to see exactly what's going on inside the nesting boxes in real time..."

The last egg at the Weston Power Plant near Wausau hatched sometime late Thursday evening or early Friday morning. Cullen says scroll down on the page to find the live stream. With four chicks at both the Green Bay and Weston power plants, there have been 94 Peregrine falcons that have hatched at WPS power plants since 1996.

We have a link to the live stream here.
