Plea Deal Likely In Forest County Stabbing Case

A plea deal is nearing completion for a Lac du Flambeau teen charged in Forest county with attempted first-degree homicide and two other felonies.

17 year old Christian Soulier was charged in January after a man was allegedly stabbed at Soulier's mothers home. The victim recovered.

At a final pre-trial hearing in Crandon Tuesday, District Attorney Charles Simino asked to delay any action...?

".....I've received a counter offer from the defendant but didn't have time to comply with victim notification...I've since complied and believe we have a resolution but I'd don't think we are postured to proceed today..."

Substitute Judge Fred Kawalski continued the pre-trial until September 24. Soulier remains in the Forest county jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
