Prentice Manufacturer Hoping To Open Facility In Tomahawk

A Prentice based manufacturer is looking to expand it's operations into a vacant building in Tomahawk.

Multitek North America got approval from a Tomahawk city committee this week that would facilitate a plan to have Multitek expand into a former 15,000 square-foot Harley-Davidson plant on Oneida Drive.
Multitek North America President Doug Kamps says the company is growing and needs more space...

".....we're outgrowing our current facility in Prentice and in need of more manufacturing space. The building became available this fall and so we're looking to moving some of our production over to Tomahawk...."

13 new jobs could be made in the process.

For the past 30 years, Multitek North America has manufactured firewood processors for the forestry market and related components. More recently they've manufactured a line of flameless heaters that are used in the oil fields and construction markets. Kamps says production in Tomahawk will be equipment assembly and they're expecting to hire 13 positions. If all goes as planned, Multitek will be in Tomahawk sometime in late spring or early summer. The sale of the property is expected to be completed later this month.
